Fritter and Loaf is an after-hours passion project.
One half Alex, one half Seb.
We started it a few years ago as a way for us to document our love of food. Alex did the writing, Seb did the photo-taking and both of us did the eating. It worked for a while.
Slowly though, things changed. They always do. Alex started taking her own photos and Seb started writing his own stories. Then we moved to Germany. That changed a lot.
Fritter and Loaf shifted, shrank and stretched as we did – and today covers a lot more than food. It’s an archive of our lives now. Of our time. It’s a way of holding onto the moments that we fritter away, and even celebrating those mundane hours just loafing around.
There’s beauty in both, after all.
